When the Walls Come Tumblin’ Down

I went to InterAct today. It’s a rape crisis center. 11 years after the fact. It was surreal and it’s not like this was the 1st time I’ve spoken about it aloud. But it is the first time that someone validated me, 1, and gave me a plan of action, 2. I will have a Case Manager calling me within the next week to set up an appointment and then will work with her to heal this and train to be an advocate/speaker/somehow help other survivors…and work on forgiving mom…because it is my intention to move on with my life. My life. Lived my way. Not that I’m 100% sure what that will look like but I’m starting.

And I found a historic black cemetery that I’d been looking for. It’s behind InterAct. Just in case you care…and here I was ticked off because I wanted to park closer to the door. Everything happens for a reason and everyone God brings into your life for a reason. There’s one person in particular I’d like to be in it forever but that’s another post for another day.
